Prof.Yiwen Qi

Biography: Yiwen Qi graduated from Harbin Institute of Technology with a Ph.D. in power machinery and engineering in 2012. He was a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Groningen, the Netherlands; a visiting scholar at Kyoto University, Hiroshima University, and Australian National University. He is currently a Professor with the College of Electrical Engineering and Automation, Fuzhou University, Fuzhou, China. His current research interests include analysis and synthesis of switched systems, security and privacy, event-triggered control, learning control, active disturbance rejection control, and their applications in power systems. He is a Distinguished Professor of “Minjiang Scholar” in Fujian Province and an Outstanding Scientific and Technological Worker of Liaoning Province. He serves as the youth editorial board member of “Propulsion Technology”, a member of China Aerospace Power Federation - Aeroengine Control Technology Professional Committee, a member of China Space Science Society - Space Intelligence Professional Committee, a member of China Automation Society - Hybrid Intelligence Professional Committee, and a member of China Automation Society - Youth Work Committee. He hosted over 35 projects, including 8 at the national level. He has published 2 academic books (Science Press) and more than 100 high-quality academic papers in authoritative journals and conferences such as Automatica, Systems & Control Letters, and IEEE Transactions.

He was invited as a specially-appointed professor of “Hubei Scholar” Program of Hubei in 2013. He has participated in many large-scale projects such as the EU's sixth and seventh framework plans, as well as cooperation projects with the International Atomic Energy Agency. In recent years, he has published over 130 papers on international journals, and applied for over 70 IPs and patents, with 30 authorized by the Chinese government. He has long been a reviewer of top journals and conference proceedings. After joining Wuhan University, Prof. Yao has established the WHU-CVRS Lab, which now consists of four advisors, one postdoctoral fellows, 30 PhDs and master students.
Prof. Hui Liu

Biography: Hui Liu, Ph.D., Professor, Master's Supervisor, Member of the Jiusan Society, Visiting Scholar at the University of Ottawa in Canada, Young Talent under Yunnan Province’s "Xingdian Talent Support Program," Leader of the first batch of national-level top-notch courses, Peer Review Expert of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, Senior Member of the China Computer Federation, Expert in the National Postgraduate Education Evaluation and Monitoring Expert Database, University-level Teaching Excellence Awardee at Kunming University of Science and Technology. He serves as a Youth Editorial Board Member for journals like "Metallurgical Automation" and "Journal of Iron and Steel Research," and as a reviewer for journals such as "Systems Engineering and Electronic Engineering" and "Optical Engineering." His main research areas include machine learning, soft sensing, and image recognition theory and applications. He has led two projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China and one general project by the Yunnan Science and Technology Department. He has published over thirty academic papers in journals such as "Computers & Chemical Engineering," "Chemometrics and Intelligent Laboratory Systems," "IET Image Processing," and "Systems Engineering and Electronic Engineering." In teaching, he has led five teaching reform projects, including the construction of national-level top-notch courses and high-quality graduate courses in Yunnan Province. He has won numerous teaching awards, including First Prize in the National Finals of the Electronic Information Class Young Teachers' Teaching Competition, Education Ministry's Online Education "Star of Smart Teaching," and First Prize in the National UOOC Alliance's Outstanding Blended Teaching Cases, with a total of eight awards. The MOOC "Introduction to Intelligent Control" that he developed is available on platforms such as Xuexi Qiangguo, China University MOOC, XuetangX (both in Chinese and in English), Smart Tree, Xuetang Online, and Youke Alliance.
